Miracle On 49th Street-Chapter 17

When  Josh got to the suite in New York it was like he didn’t care if he got to spend time with Molly at all. He was just worried about basketball. I can see to a point where the game will be on his mind, but when it wasn’t like 5 or more hours away he could have at least acted happy to be there with Molly. So it was just her and Mattie that afternoon and Molly decided to do something that made her think of her mother and that was ice skate. Molly’s mother could have gone professional if she really wanted to. Molly was skating and then all of sudden Mattie was gone and in her place was Josh. I was not expecting that at all. Josh then finally gave Molly a heart to heart talk saying how he feel in love with her mother and that it was at that ice rink that he found out that she loved him as much as he loved her.

Miracle On 49th Street-Chapter 17

At the practise Adam, the reporter who is also Sam's uncle showed up. They both looked at each other nervously because they knew he'd want to know what they were doing with Josh. When he asked all Josh said was to forget about it. I don't know if that would be the right thing to say since his nephew is with him. He went back to it though saying that he knew Molly's mom really well during college and that he decided that Molly could use another friend. Pretty good cover up, kind of cheesy though. Molly then got to go to New York with the Celtics. Even though Molly is not real, I am getting more and more jealous of her! She got to pick what she wanted to do there also, but she told Josh all she wanted to do was spend time with him.

Miracle on 49th Street-Chapter 16

Along with going the Celtics games Molly also got to go to their practices. I’m telling ya this girl is possibly the luckiest person with this. She of course brought Sam along, those two are pretty much inseparable. At that age that was me and Dylan. We did everything together. Things changed though. I mean we still are still really good friends, but we just aren’t that close anymore. I guess it’s expectable. While going to the practices Molly found a good friend in Josh’s teammate L.J. They played horse after practice even though it was amazing to her, all she really wanted was for Josh to come play, but it didn’t happen. I could never imagine that. If I really want to do something with my dad he’ll for the most part do it with me.

Miricle on 49th Street Chapter 15

It seemed Barbara decided to let Josh be a part of Molly's life because Sam and herself were going to the Celtics game and then going to have pizza with him. Then Josh's assistant came into play. He seemed like a pretty big jerk. Saying that Josh hanging out with kid that they weren't sure at all if she was his kid would be terrible publicity and would ruin his look. What else was Josh to do? I mean he couldn't just not be with her and never find out if he had a child. That's not fair to him or Molly.

Miracle and 49th Street Chapters13-14

Barbara didn't like Josh and that is why she was so hesitant to agree to let Molly visit him. When it did come out that Josh was supposibly Molly's father Barbara wasn't surprised. She later said she didn't believe that she found some where in Paris and she got pregnant and then he left him. It's a clever story though so no one would ever know the truth about her father. Barbara still was very hesitant on agreeing to Molly and Josh's plan. She feared that Josh would hurt Molly just like he hurt her mother. I don't blame her. If I saw my best friend go threw a relationship where the guy only thought about himself and then I had to take care of their child I'd be leary to. Molly soon realized that Barbara knew this whole time that Josh was her father. When she asked Barbara she said that it was just like looking at the younger Josh. The two of them argued more about what was to happen. That's something I know how to do, I'm very good at arguing and being very stubborn towards my parents. Barbara then broke down and told Molly that at the end of Christmas they'd be moving to Los Angeles. To go from the home of the Celtics to the home of the Lakers is a big down grade. Lakers suck, Go Celtics! When Molly told Sam and he started to freak out all she said was that they were moving, that she would be staying with Josh.

Miricle on 49th Street-Chapter 11-12

Sam was coming home with Molly that Monday and when they got infront of the building where Molly lived is when they saw Josh along with Mattie. Josh apologized for how he reacted. I'm glad he did this made me like him just alittle bit more after what he did. I'm not the greatest when it comes to forgiving and forgetting. I can forgive in a heart beat if you apologize and truely mean it, but I can never forget. Josh and Molly soon left Mattie and Sam to go talk. Josh lead Molly to a ally way where there was a basketball hoop because Molly was holding her basketball. The two of them decided to give each other another chance. With that they started playing basketball and Josh saw how good Molly was. I wonder where she got it from. The next day at school Sam and Molly began talking about the day before. Molly said that Josh asked about getting a DNA test but she didn't want to take one. She wanted to make Josh realize she was his kid by getting to know her. This makes sense, but if I were Josh I would never have the patience of not knowing if she was my kid or not.

Miricle on 49th Street-Chapter 10

Molly's plan was just that she would run straight home, she figured Josh wouldn't care enough to chase after her. I have threatened to run away maybe 3 times, even packing my bags saying that I was going to live
withmy grandparents a 1/2 a block away. Molly's plan was soon rearranged when Thomas the concierge stopped her. He wanted to call Josh right away but Molly beged him not to and instead began walking her home. During the walk home Sam called Molly sounding pretty worried. I would be worried if one of my friends hid out in a car that they barely knew and had no idea where they were going. It came to Molly when she was at home, she needed to do a DNA test to prove that Josh really is her father. For a 12 year old Molly sure is smart.
