Dear John-Chapter 5

The next morning John tried to make a attempt with his father. Waking up earlier than normal to help his dad with breakfast. As usual it didn't help, his dad barely said anything just replying to yes or no. I think that would be hard, I know he probably is used to it since his dad has been this way all his life but just not being able to have a conversation with the person your living with would just suck. John tries to get his mind off Savannah by surfing, but that doesn't work either. On John's way home he decides to stop and get supper. Steaks with potatoes and sald. He thinks it'd be nice to give his dad a break. But when they come to the table, they once again eat in silence.
