The Outsiders

One morning the boys were awoken by not anything they were expecting, Dally showed up. Dally brought news that it's terrible back home between the greasers and the socs, no greaser could walk by themselves. They also had a spy in Cherry Valance, this surprised both Johnny and Pony Boy. The cops thought that Pony and Johnny were headed to Texas because Dally "let it slip" when he was in the police station. They then went into town and got something to eat, during this time Johnny decided that they were going to go back with Dally and turn themselves in. This made Dally really angry saying that he didn't want him to go to jail and turn out like he did. This was very unusual for Dally because usually when he talked about jail it was him bragging about what had happened.

The Outsiders

While reading "Gone With the Wind" Johnny figured out that the characters in the book were extremely gallant. It reminded him of Dally. Pony didn't like Dally as much as Johnny did, Johnny looked at him as a hero. One morning the two of them woke up early and went and watched the sun rise. They both thought it was one of the prettiest things they've ever seen. Johnny told Pony that he never noticed stuff like until Pony told him about it and Pony admitted that Johnny was one of the only people he could admit to liking the stuff.

The Outsiders

The next morning when Pony woke up he was all my himself. He looked at the ground and saw a note written in the dust that he went to go get supplies. Later on when Johnny returned they were looking at all the stuff was bought and Pony found peroxide and the most worst thought entered his mind, they were gonna change their hair. That was exactly what the plan was, Pony cut and bleached it where Johnny cut it and washed all the grease out of it. To occupy there time Pony read the book "Gone With The Wind" out loud so that both he and Johnny could know what it was about.

Accounting

Once I finally started getting accounting I'm starting to like it alot more. I still don't want to go into it after high school, but I'm considering staying in it 2nd semester.

The Outsiders

Johnny and Pony are on the train to Jay Mountain, Pony falls asleep and was still asleep when Johnny made him jump of the train. Since Pony was laying on Johnny's leg the whole time it went asleep and he could barely walk on it so Pony had to go and ask someone how to get to Jay Mountain. Pony didn't like this idea because he thought someone would be able to tell that he was hood with just one look, but when he found someone all he said was that he was playing army with his buddies. The two of them took off to the church and when they got there it took them less than a minute to fall asleep.

The Outsiders

Pony and Johnny run to the park because Pony thinks he'll be cooled off by the time they get there and back. Once they get to the park they see the blue mustang shows up with a group of socs. They talk for alittle bit and then a fight started and they start dunking Pony in a fountain. When Pony wakes up he sees a big puddle of blood, a dead soc, and a Johnny looking at a bloody knife. They go straight to Dally because they know he's the only one that could really help them. Dally sends them to an abanded  church by using a train.

The Outsiders

Soda had a horse at a barn he used to work at, his name was Mickey Mouse, Soda really didn't own him but it was believed that the way they were with each other Mickey really was Soda's. Pony was telling this to Cherry, then she asked what was Darry like since Pony really hadn't said much about him. Pony then freaked out saying how much Darry hated him. That really got Two-Bit angry and yelled at Pony for saying such things. All of a sudden a blue mustang drove by, it was Cherry and Marcia's boyfriends. They drove by and not long after they came back. After a fight almost broke out the girls decided to let them drive them home. Cherry told Pony that she hoped she'd never see Dally again or she'd fall in love with him, Pony hated this. Johnny and Pony went to a vacant lot to talk things over, but soon they both fell asleep. Pony woke to Johnny shaking him telling him to go home. When Pony got home Darry was mad and after an arguement he hit Pony. Pony couldn't take this and he went and got Johnny and they ran away.

Personal Finance

I can not wait for this class to get over! It is so boring. We are now doing this program on the internet and all you do is just listen and watch it. It is so boring! I get where we need to learn all of this, but I just wish there was a way to make it more interesting.

The Outsiders

After the movie was over the girls had no way home so Pony, Two-Bit, and Johnny volunteered to drive them to their houses. They had to walk to Two-Bits house first to get his car. Pony was talking to Cherry alot, he felt really comfortable around her, it was almost like he was talking to Soda. I love how they are from completley different sides and Cherry is one person that Pony really opens up to. Its like they're not even different from each other at all.

Accounting

Well since I have recently changed my career path I guess I do have to say that I don't like Accouting as much as I did last year. At times I really like it and I enjoy doing it, but then there's times when I just want to shoot it. I am considering dropping it after this semester. I guess we'll just see what I end up doing.

The Outsiders-11/21/11

Johnny, Pony, and Dally go to the movies and sit right behind 2 soc girls. Dally gets up to his usually tricks with a red headed girl named Cherry, her friends name was Marcia. Dally kept annoying her till Johnny finally told him to leave her alone, which isn't a usual thing for Johnny to do. The girls really appreciated that and had them come sit with them. Later on Two Bit came to watch the movie. Cherry and Pony went and got popcorn and Pony told the story of how Johnny got beat up. Johnny was to the point that he was almost dead. I just don't see how anyone could do that to another for no reason at all!

The Outsiders-11/17/11

I've decided to take a break on Sarah's Key because I really wanted to read The Outsiders. Its one of my favorite books, I read it as a freshmen in Tripp. Pony Boy Curtis is part of the greasers group which his brothers Darry and Soda Pop, Dally, Steve, Johnny, and Two Bit. The greasers are the northside middle class. The Socs are southside rich kids. Pony gets jumped by a group of socs-but he yells for the rest of the group and they come and help him. Darry yells at Pony for being so stupid and not asking someone else to come along so he's not by himself. Pony fells like Darry hates him and that the only one who truely loves him is Soda. Soda tries to tell Pony that that's not the case, that ever since their parents died Darry has more responsibilites. I remember feeling like that with my brother when ever we would fight. We get along alot better then we used to, but it still sometimes crosses my mind that me and him aren't as close as some of my friends and their brother.

Government

I really wished that Government was only a semester class, I hate it so much. I know I shouldn't because it has to do with me and the laws and rights I have and the laws I have to fallow, but I just find it all so boring. I just wish I had a little more interest in it than I do.

Accounting

Well we just got done with out last chapter last week, so now we're on to a new one. We started doing the actual problems yesterday and it seems likes it going to be another chapter that I like.

Sarah's Key 79

It was the first night that the children were there by themselves without their parents. Sarah said that it was the worst time of all. Small ones didn't know what was going on so they screamed for there mothers and the older ones who did know what was going on just sat on the ground. Sarah thought to herself how could these people be doing this, couldn't they think of their families at home and sympathies. I completley agree with this I don't see how they have family at home but can willingly do this to others.

Personal Finance

I thought I was going to like this class at the beginning of the year, but it is one of the most boring classes. I don't know I think it might be because I've learned a lot of this stuff in accounting or that its just common knowledge.

Sarah's Key-74-78

Julia went and say her Mame who was her great-grandma-in-law. Mame brought up the apartment and how the process of making changes to it was going. That was exactly Julia wanted because she had questions about how they got the apartment. Mame moved into the apartment in late July of 1942, the same time that the round up happened. She said that it was so easy to get a house because of the round up. Mame got mad when asked why they took the house if they knew that someone didn't want to sell the house. She said "we knew nothing, nothing at all!" What really hit me in this chapter was that Julia said that Mame had alzheimers. My grandma has it, she isn't to the point where she can't remember who I am and I hope to God that that never happens.

Sarah's Key 70-73

Sarah wondered where her father was, she had absoletly no clue where he was at. It seemed things only got worse. There were rumors going around saying that the women and children were going to be seperated and that the women would be sent to a different camp to start work. This soon became the truth not just a rumor. Before they seperated the children and the mothers they took small groups into a shed and told them to lay down all the jewlery and money they had. Sarah thought to herself what more can they do to us. What this girl had gone threw in a matter of weeks is terrible. I can't even imagine going threw that much pain and suffering in my whole life and Sarah has the thought that this is only going to get worse.

English IV

If this class is going to teach me anything it's that I procrastinate alot. I never really thought I did, but I am now starting to see that I do. I do end up getting my stuff done, it's just that I am very stressed out doing it. I procrastinated with a Packer Press article and then a big presentation on Canterbury Tales. I'm really not a big fan of some of the things we do in English IV, but I'm glad I'm in it because I would rather figure all this stuff out now than next year in college.

My Product

The Cell Finder is the best thing that has come yet! It finds anything that you have lost. All you have to do is type in what is lost and then press search. It will take a few moments and then it will have a GPS Navigation System telling you where you need to go, which will include telling you your exact movements.

10/19/11 Accounting

Right now we are on the chapter were we learn how to do pay rolls. I am enjoying this chapter. I love how on a balance sheet things just equal each other. I don't know why but when there is a set way of doing something and you can see it add up its so much better. I hate when there's many ways to do something and you have to decide which way you want to go. I think thats one of the biggest reasons why I love accounting so much!

10/13/11 Personal Finance

Well this stock market game I really dont get. Some of the people in the class really love doing it and find it fun. Me on the other hand, I have absoletly no clue on what I am doing. I just click stuff and hope for the best. Probably the reason why I'm not doing so well.

Sarah's Key-Pages 64-69

Once Sarah got off the train she had hope, the air smelt fresh and the sky was clear. This was maybe the worst part of reading this so book so far. Here she thinks that the stadium was the worst part and then it just keeps getting worse. It's like she doesn't have anything to be hopeful for because it just won't come true. They walked to an area out beyond the trees where there were men with guns and a border of barbed wire. Once they got in the locked in area the guards began to shout orders that the women and children go to the sheds on the right and the men go to the sheds on the left. This made her even more afraid because her dad wasn't there to comfort her. If I was taken away from my dad I don't know what I would do, he's always the one that can make me feel alot better about a situation and if he was just forced away from me I don't think I could handle it.  She couldn't sleep that night in the shed and she knew that if she would even try to get out side the guards would yell at her or shoot her. For a 10 year old to have to go threw this is terrible!
Julia and Bamber went to go see the women that the waiter had sent her to. The lady was 95 years old and she claims that no one knew what was going on at the time. When all the people went into the stadium they thought they were going to be treated just fine, but that quickly changed when they saw all the people start walking to the buses. The lady claimed that it made her sick that it was going on right by her and she had absoletly no idea. She claims that the faces of the children was the worst part. If I was in that situtation I would agree, just to see that said looks on a normal happy face would haunt me for the rest of my life.

Sarah's Key-Pages 49-63

Julia continued spending time with her friends and her new acquaintance Guillaume. She didn't want to bring up the round up any more than she already had, but she was quickly surprised that Guillaume brought it up himself explaining that his Grandmother was apart of it and that she wouldn't talk about it anymore, but she had told him everything that he needed to know. I don't blame her, if I went threw something as tragic as that I don't think I could go and tell people what it was like every time they asked. Its just like opening a sore over and over again. Julia later went home and wanted to talk about the information she got with Bertrand that quickly didnt happen because Bertrand thought that this article was the biggest waste of time. That makes me mad, it's like he doesn't even care what the others of his country went threw. The next day Julia went to the site of the round up with Bamber who was going to take pictures of the place. They could barely get any pictures of it because they were building government offices where it was. They found a plaque saying what happened at the spot. At least they have something there to remember what happened to all those people! Afterwards they went to get coffee and they asked the waiter if he knew of anyone that could tell them what happened on that day someone who wasn't jewish who just saw what happened. To there amazement he knew someone.
What had been going on in the stadium was getting to Sarah, she felt ill and weak. A girl that is 10 years old had seen things that she shouldn't have seen at that age, that no one should see. The police told them one morning that they should get there stuff and come to the door. When Sarah saw that they were going to be getting on a train and leaving she freaked out. She knew that she would not be able to get her brother. She yelled at her dad first for not trying to run away and get him, then she yelled at him for not telling her what happened. After she was done she just cried! If something like that doesn't make you sad I don't know what will. To have a little girl going threw that questioning what she did wrong, seeing people laugh at her while she was being taken away from everything she only knew. That is something no one could ever guess what it feels like.

Sarah's Key-Pages 38-48

Sarah was trying to shut out everything that was going on in the stadium. She quickly thought of her friend Armelle, she described her as very brave. When ever they had to go to the bomb shelther in school while herself and the others were scared she put on a brave face. This amazes me, where someone so little can be that brave just to try and help the other kids. Sarah then began to think that maybe if her parents would have told her what was going on that all this would be easier. She began to be very upset with her parents for this. I would be to, when I found out my parents didn't tell me right away that my grandpa passed away I was so mad at them. It's just the fact that they're keeping something so important from you. The next morning the father tried to let the policeman let him run home and bring Sarah's brother back. The policeman quickly said no. Sarah quickly decided that she was going to get her brother out from their hidding place no matter what, no one could stop her. This showed real determination. Julia was still with her friends when one of their friends joined them. They talked about Julia's job and what she all does. That quickly made the conversation go to the roundup and they exchanged different knowledge they have on the subject. I'm glad someone else in this book will talk about it.

Travels With Charley

My favorite character in Steinbeck's Travels with Charlie was John Steinbeck himself. There are many reasons why I chose Steinbeck as my favorite.
One of the reasons is because he goes after what he wants. All his life Steinbeck has wanted to travel and he got it accomplished. Going out and accomplishing his dream when he was at the old age of 60 shows that he had true love for this dream.  I think it is very important when you have a dream for as long as Steinbeck did that you go out and accomplish that dream.
Another reason why Steinbeck is my favorite is because he never really seems like he is scared of anything. There was many times when Steinbeck could have easily just said that he didn’t want to do it anymore and go back home, but he never did that. Not only did he set out to accomplish his dream, he left his family at home even though he knew that he would be gone for a long period of time. I know that Steinbeck brought his dog, Charlie, along but you can’t talk to the dog about stuff and get an answer return like you can with people. Also at the beginning of his trip Steinbeck had to go through a hurricane. If that would have been me I would have just went home and took it as a bad sign.
My favorite place that Steinbeck visited was New York. I guess a big part of the reason why it’s my favorite is because it is an actual place where I have visited myself. When I was reading that part of the book it made memories of what I saw in New York come back to me.  I also really want to go back to New York.

Accounting 10/6/11

We just finished up chapter 2 yesterday in accounting. I hated that chapter. Some of the stuff didn't make sense, but I just wrote it down cause that's what Mr. Weber said to do. I'm glad I at least know how to do the problem or I'd be in alot of trouble fallowing this chapter.

Sarah's Key-Pages 34-37

Julia, who grew up in Massachusetts, never thought she would live in France when she was older. She was very intregued by all the culture in France but she never thought once that she would find someone and marry him and live there for the rest of her life. I understand that, I could never think of myself going to out of the country and staying there for the rest of my life, I cant even imagine living outside of South Dakota, let alone the area I am in now. Julia did find friends in France along with her husband, friends who know her well. Thats why when they were having lunch they could tell something was the matter. Julia said it was nothing, but she soon explained that it was because of the information she was getting on the round up. Something like that would bother me to. Just to not know anything about it and then do research and then once you're done you're knowing so much more. It would be a lot to take in.

Sarah's Key-Pages 30-33

The story comes back to the little girl and her parents, they are now in a stadium filled with people. They are treated like dogs with no water and no room. The sad thing is that people keep on coming in. The girl found a boy that she knows. He ripped the star of his cloths and told the girl that he was going to get out of this place and invited her to come along. She wanted to come but she didn't want to leave her parents. The boys first attemp wasn't good he got shoved on to the ground. He then waited for when the people coming in were freaking out and he snuck out. This made me feel bad that police of their own city treated them like this. They treated them like they weren't even humans. That makes me very mad! About the little boy who got out, I feel hopeful but scared for him at the same time. Hopeful because if all goes well he could be free, but if he gets caught it could be a different story.

Personal Finace 9/27/11

We had to read some stuff on the stock market for class today, and I can say it really didn't clear anything up for me. I don't get how you can buy stock and then sell it that same day and make money off of it. I really hope he explains it alot more than the reading material did.

Meet Smurfette

In “Meet Smurfette” an evil wizard makes a plan to capture the smurfs. He creates a Smurfette and gives her orders to get the smurfs to fallow her. She agreed, her first way of getting them to fallow her is to make them fall in love. This did not work, so she then tried to do it by force. She takes the “Greedy” smurf and asks to show her how to close the dam off. When the smurf opens the dam and then tries to shut it smurfette wouldn’t let him. The rest of the smurfs noticed the fast waters approaching, they rushed to the dam. They found Smurfette in the water and they saved her. Once they got the dam closed off they needed to punish Smurfette. They asked why she did and they told them that the evil wizard forced her. The elder wizard mixed up potions and gave them to Smurfette and a new Smurfette appears. Now all the Smurfs are in love with Smurfette.

Sarah's Key-Pages 1-29

The beginning of Sarah's Key really made me sad and frustrated. The book is diveded between 2 completly different worlds. One of them is a girl who is taken away from her home by French police with her mother and father. She locks her brother in a secret hidding place where no one will be able to find him. She promises to come back for him. She soon realizes that she won't be coming back and theres a good chance she'll never see him again so she can't fufill her promise. I cant even imagine what my feelings would be at that point in time. To one morning wake up to people banging on your door and then saying you had to leave your home. Then you have the promise you made to someone you love and when you realize probably wont be able to fullfil that promise. Words can't even describe how terrible that would be. On the other side you have a jornalist who lives in France in the modern day who has to cover the roundup that happened in France in 1942. I was frustrated in this part because she barely knew anything of that happened. It also said that the French didn't talk about it that much because they were embarressed. That honestly makes me really mad, I feel like you should talk about in memory of what the families went threw.

9/21/11-Government

Government is my least favorite class this year so far. Politics have never interested me at all. I get the reason of why I need to know the stuff, but I really wish we could just not do it. I hear about it enough when my brother comes home. I really hate having to hear every other day to. I wish it was only a semester class!

Accounting

When I started accounting this year I honestly thought "what am I getting myself into" and also "why do I want to do this for the rest of my life." That quickly changed after a few days when I found myself speeding threw my assignment and really happy while doing it. That really doesn't happen all to often in school for me. Last year I started off hating accounting, just like this year, but then I really started to enjoy it. Now I can see myself doing it for the rest of my life. I really don't think I'm going to go to be a CPA, but when I went and toured DWU the professor said that I could get a business degree with a high pull on accoutning. I think thats what I want to do.

So Many Bananas

One day Dora and Boots were together and Boots found a wishing machine. With this Boots wished for bananas every time he said bananas. Soon he had so many bananas and it was just enough. But now when ever he said it one would come to him. He had to fix this, but sadly his wishing machine broke. They had to go to Robot's (albuelo) to wish on his wishing machine. They set out for the journey using map their trusted friend. They had to go across a bridge but to do so they had to anwer a riddle. The answer of course was bananas and of course one pops up. Next they had to cross the river, but they needed the turtles help. They have them bananas and they helped them out. They finally get to Abuelo's Workshop and Boots make his wish that when he says "bananas" one doesn't appear. His wish came true! This is such a wonderful book it really shows teamwork, great to teach little kids. But the banana part was gross because I hate bananas!

Water for Elephants

For these first few weeks of school I have started and just finished Water for Elephants. I absoletly loved this book. There's a good chance that it might be my favorite book. It is a story about Jacob and how at his worst he jumped a train and he didn't know what he was in for. On that train he found friends that he'd do anything for, a crazy man, animals, and the love of his life. Jacob jumped onto a circus train. He soon became the vet of the circus once they found out that he went to a ivy league school. Jacob went there but he wasn't a certified vet because the day he was taking his final exam he was notified that his parents we're in a car crash and they didn't make it. So Jacob walked along a train track till he saw one coming and he jumped on it. I don't blame him if my parents passed away and I had a big test that day, I would freak out and not take it. I don't see how you could take it when you have so much emotion built up in you. On the train Jacob met Walter. They weren't exactly friends right away, but it ended up they cared a lot about one another. Jacob met August, who turned out to be a psychopath. Then theirs Marlena who was married to August, but during the time she got to know Jacob she fell in love with him, and relized that she doesn't love August and his ways. Finally we have Rosie who is my favorite character in this book. Rosie is an elephant that was bought to try and help the show raise money. In the end Rosie becomes the hero in my eyes because she kills August with her steak that holds her into the ground when there is a stamped that is going on during the circus. Due to the stampede the circus is forced to shut down, and another circus comes and claims the animals and train. In the end Marlena, Rosie, Jacob, 11 horses, and bobo a monkey go to Ringling and perform with them. Jacob and Marlena get married. The ending of the story is that a 93 year old Jacob escapes from a nursing home and finally gets to go home to travel with another circus. There was always something going on in this book, something that made me want to always read it, thats why I loved reading it.

What does freedom of speech mean to me?

Freedom of speech means alot to me. Its the reason why I can say what I want to say, wear what I want to wear, and believe what I want to believe. I guess I really have never that much of freedom of speech because its always been there, I've never not been able to state my opinion. When i'm forced to really think about it though I realize how big of a deal it is and how lucky I am to have it because others do not.

Miracle On 49th Street-Chapter 17

When  Josh got to the suite in New York it was like he didn’t care if he got to spend time with Molly at all. He was just worried about basketball. I can see to a point where the game will be on his mind, but when it wasn’t like 5 or more hours away he could have at least acted happy to be there with Molly. So it was just her and Mattie that afternoon and Molly decided to do something that made her think of her mother and that was ice skate. Molly’s mother could have gone professional if she really wanted to. Molly was skating and then all of sudden Mattie was gone and in her place was Josh. I was not expecting that at all. Josh then finally gave Molly a heart to heart talk saying how he feel in love with her mother and that it was at that ice rink that he found out that she loved him as much as he loved her.

Miracle On 49th Street-Chapter 17

At the practise Adam, the reporter who is also Sam's uncle showed up. They both looked at each other nervously because they knew he'd want to know what they were doing with Josh. When he asked all Josh said was to forget about it. I don't know if that would be the right thing to say since his nephew is with him. He went back to it though saying that he knew Molly's mom really well during college and that he decided that Molly could use another friend. Pretty good cover up, kind of cheesy though. Molly then got to go to New York with the Celtics. Even though Molly is not real, I am getting more and more jealous of her! She got to pick what she wanted to do there also, but she told Josh all she wanted to do was spend time with him.

Miracle on 49th Street-Chapter 16

Along with going the Celtics games Molly also got to go to their practices. I’m telling ya this girl is possibly the luckiest person with this. She of course brought Sam along, those two are pretty much inseparable. At that age that was me and Dylan. We did everything together. Things changed though. I mean we still are still really good friends, but we just aren’t that close anymore. I guess it’s expectable. While going to the practices Molly found a good friend in Josh’s teammate L.J. They played horse after practice even though it was amazing to her, all she really wanted was for Josh to come play, but it didn’t happen. I could never imagine that. If I really want to do something with my dad he’ll for the most part do it with me.

Miricle on 49th Street Chapter 15

It seemed Barbara decided to let Josh be a part of Molly's life because Sam and herself were going to the Celtics game and then going to have pizza with him. Then Josh's assistant came into play. He seemed like a pretty big jerk. Saying that Josh hanging out with kid that they weren't sure at all if she was his kid would be terrible publicity and would ruin his look. What else was Josh to do? I mean he couldn't just not be with her and never find out if he had a child. That's not fair to him or Molly.

Miracle and 49th Street Chapters13-14

Barbara didn't like Josh and that is why she was so hesitant to agree to let Molly visit him. When it did come out that Josh was supposibly Molly's father Barbara wasn't surprised. She later said she didn't believe that she found some where in Paris and she got pregnant and then he left him. It's a clever story though so no one would ever know the truth about her father. Barbara still was very hesitant on agreeing to Molly and Josh's plan. She feared that Josh would hurt Molly just like he hurt her mother. I don't blame her. If I saw my best friend go threw a relationship where the guy only thought about himself and then I had to take care of their child I'd be leary to. Molly soon realized that Barbara knew this whole time that Josh was her father. When she asked Barbara she said that it was just like looking at the younger Josh. The two of them argued more about what was to happen. That's something I know how to do, I'm very good at arguing and being very stubborn towards my parents. Barbara then broke down and told Molly that at the end of Christmas they'd be moving to Los Angeles. To go from the home of the Celtics to the home of the Lakers is a big down grade. Lakers suck, Go Celtics! When Molly told Sam and he started to freak out all she said was that they were moving, that she would be staying with Josh.

Miricle on 49th Street-Chapter 11-12

Sam was coming home with Molly that Monday and when they got infront of the building where Molly lived is when they saw Josh along with Mattie. Josh apologized for how he reacted. I'm glad he did this made me like him just alittle bit more after what he did. I'm not the greatest when it comes to forgiving and forgetting. I can forgive in a heart beat if you apologize and truely mean it, but I can never forget. Josh and Molly soon left Mattie and Sam to go talk. Josh lead Molly to a ally way where there was a basketball hoop because Molly was holding her basketball. The two of them decided to give each other another chance. With that they started playing basketball and Josh saw how good Molly was. I wonder where she got it from. The next day at school Sam and Molly began talking about the day before. Molly said that Josh asked about getting a DNA test but she didn't want to take one. She wanted to make Josh realize she was his kid by getting to know her. This makes sense, but if I were Josh I would never have the patience of not knowing if she was my kid or not.

Miricle on 49th Street-Chapter 10

Molly's plan was just that she would run straight home, she figured Josh wouldn't care enough to chase after her. I have threatened to run away maybe 3 times, even packing my bags saying that I was going to live
withmy grandparents a 1/2 a block away. Molly's plan was soon rearranged when Thomas the concierge stopped her. He wanted to call Josh right away but Molly beged him not to and instead began walking her home. During the walk home Sam called Molly sounding pretty worried. I would be worried if one of my friends hid out in a car that they barely knew and had no idea where they were going. It came to Molly when she was at home, she needed to do a DNA test to prove that Josh really is her father. For a 12 year old Molly sure is smart.

Miricle on 49th Street-Chapter 9

When Molly and Josh got to his house and the chauffeur was standing there wondering who was with Josh. Who wouldn't, I would find it strange to see someone who has never brought a 12 year old up to his house before. Josh quickly told him that she was his neice and then grabbed her hand and held it. When she got up to where Josh lives Molly soon found out about Mattie, his assistant. He demanded to see the letter and Molly gave it to him. After Josh read the letter he gave props to Molly that this was really good and that the letter actually did sound like Jen wrote it. Molly was beyond mad! Who could blame her, hearing her own dad saying something that cruel. It only got worse he crumpled up the letter and shot it at the trash when he made it he said "Nothing but net." Molly ran after that.

Miracle on 49th St-Chapter 7

Plan C was that Molly would sneak in the back of his escalade. This happened with the help of Sam of course. He started to freak out because he supposibly couldn't find his sister and she said she would be up at the place they were standing. When Josh went over to see what was going on Molly would hop in the vehicle. It sure did work. I could possibly see me and my friends doing something like this. So Molly was in the back seat everything going well, that is tell Josh hit a bump and she hit her head and yelled ow! Haha, and this is how badly it would end for me also. Josh was freaking out wondering who was in the back of his car. She got up and looked at him saying "Me again!" Josh was angry, but who wouldn't be. He thought that everything was said the day before but Molly quickly said that this wasn't the truth, that he stormed off before she could say anything she really wanted to. Josh admitted he knew she was Jens daughter but he soon said that he thought that Jen told her that he was Molly's father to get money out of him or something. Molly came back from that hard blow with that she had a letter and that made him want to read it so he took her to his apartment.

Miricle on 49th Street- Chapters 4-7

Molly had never thought that someone else from her class would be at the Celtics practise, but I guess now that Kimmy just ratted her out she really should have thought more wisely. I don't think I could ever sneak off in a city like Boston. I visited there when I was 10. I guess it would be different since she's lived in a big city all her life, but I would be scared. Kimmy quickly realized what she had none and was apologizing. Barbara was furious with Molly. It seemed more at the fact that it was to see Josh Cameron. Kimmy kept apologizing when the talk was over coming into Molly's room saying she'd do anything for forgiveness. All Molly wanted was for her to get out of her room. I would agree with that, she just sounds annoying. She didn't leave though, all she did was ask about Josh. The next day at lunch Sam gave Molly a ticket to the Celtics opener, where Josh would be playing tonight. Not only did they get to see the game, but they also got to go into the Celtics locker room and meet the players. Molly didn't like this idea at all, she had no idea what she would sy to him. I wouldn't even care, I'd be super excited, maybe cause they're my favorite team. Barbara let her go to the game, I would even be upset if she didn't. Sam's uncle was taking them to the game and he was a reporter so they would be sitting by themselves and they'd have to stay later than normal. They went into the locker room and Josh wasn't there. At this time Molly was getting excited and working up a plan to talk to him. She was disappointed that he wasn't there. Who wouldn't be? After that she came up with what she called plan C.

Miacle on 49th Street- chapter 4

After Josh left Molly in the parking lot she called Sam and started saying how much she hated him and how big of a jerk he was. I would have to agree with how he was treating her, his own daughter. I understand that he didn't believe her and that it was a surprise. He still should have been nice. Barbara was Molly adopted mother since her mom died she hated living there definitely because of Kimmy was her daughter and she liked to talk alot. Molly wanted to keep it a secret that she went and talked to Josh and went to the practise. Kimmy came running down the steps saying "Molly Parker, I can't believe you got to watch Josh Cameron practice without me!" This was not good.

1920's

I used the background for this glog because it seemed fun and feastive, but also daring. The 1920's seem very fun to me, with extravigant things. Also it was the time that people dared to be different with the women changing there dresses, making them shorter and everything. My recipe is the way it is because this is what has made me the person I am today. I wouldn't be the same without any of these things. Even though I am very young compared to the age of some people I think I can use this recipe for the rest of my life. People had to have to have what their lives were made out of in the 1920s. The picture I have of Babe Ruth advertising coke is representing the 1920's because he was a baseball player back in the day. I do have to say the main reason I put it in my glog was because it had to do with baseball. The picture of the women and how she is dressed is in my glog because it interests me that this is how the women changed there look and were being daring. The picture that says cat pajamas is in here because that is slang that they used. The fallowing 4 pictures all have to do with about the same thing, music or dancing. This was the time of dancing. Music was also very big at this time.

Miracle On 49th Street-Chapters 1-2

Molly Parker went to the Boston Celtics open practise, but her reason wasn't to see all the famous players or to get a autograph from the greatest player in the NBA Josh Cameron. Well I would absouletly love to go to a open practise for the Celtics. They're my favorite team in the NBA. Molly knew everything there is to knwo about Josh Cameron. When Molly saw that Josh was going to leave she knew that was her cue to go to the parking lot where she knew his escalade would be. She went out there and beat him to it where she had to wait. When he finally did come he thought she was there for a autograph. Josh was trying to blow her off, but she was stubborn and I wasn't going to let that happen. Well that sounds like me, my parents say i'm way to stubborn for my own good. Molly soon started to talk about her mom and Josh and how they dated back in college. It ended with Molly saying that she died earlier from a fight with cancer. If there was one thing I could fix it'd be cancer, I hate it. Then she came out with it, that Josh was her father. He didn't believe her saying he knew she was Jen's kid but she couldn't be his.Molly told him her birthday and he said that Jen made the story up very nicely. This mad Molly really mad and I honestly don't blame her. She yelled at him saying her mom was right and Josh got mad and peeled off. I love this book already!

Someone Like You-Chapters 18-19

It is the day of prom and Halley is not excited at all even though her mother is freaking out with joy telling her she'll have so much fun. That's kind of how it is right now with me and my mom. She's the one that's super excited about it and i'm just going. I think in away it's kind of dumb. To spend the amount of money some girls do on just one night is a bit ridiculious. Scarlett was asked by Cameron so that means that she had to go, so she was set up with Noah Vaughn, her ex. When he arrived she knew he was drunk right away. And her night just kept getting worse. When they got to the school Noah ripped Halley's dress. I could see Wes doing that to Mataya he has terrible luck. She went straight to the bathroom and while she was getting help with her dress Emily came in saying that Macon still loved her. She had no time to think because all of a sudden someone came rushing in saying Scarlett was having the baby. They rushed outside and then realized they didn't have a car and had no way of getting to the hospital and then Macon came rushing. When they were at the hospital she called her mom to tell and then went in with Scarlett but couldn't handle it because of the stress that is till her mom came. You need your mom more than you think. Scarlett ended up having a girl and called her Grace Halley. Halley knew than that everything was going to change and she'd be there till the end helping Scarlett give Grace the best life she could.

Someone Like You-Chapter 16-17

All Halley remembered was the cold from the accident and hearing Macon's voice continually apologizing and even saying I love you, but it didn't matter to her. I wouldn't care at all, he almost got her killed. It turned out Halley had a sprained wrist, laceration on her back, a cut eye, and bruised ribs. Nothing good at all. When the EMT asked for her house number she gave her Scarletts and soon Scarlett came running into the hospital. After she woke up her parents were there and out of worry her mom just started yelling at her for going back to Macon, but she just went back to sleep. When she finally did go home Macon was outside every night and she wouldn't do anything about it till he threw pebbles at her window when she went down she told him they were done. I'd do the same thing! Her mom instantly thought that he took him back she quickly put her straight and it seemed like she'll stop trying to run her life. Thank God my parents don't try to run mine, that wouldn't be good.

Someone Like You-Chapter 15-16

The day had come, New Years, the day Halley would sleep with Macon. Not the greatest decision on her part in my opinion. The day just started bad for Halley with her mom wondering if she could stay home and help out with her annual New Years party. Halley refused saying she already had plans. Her mother replied saying that it was fine, but she was trusting her. After she got ready she went to see Scarlett and that went even worse. They had a huge fight because Scarlett didn't think it was a good idea because Macon hadn't even told her he loved her yet. I think she was just trying to protect her so it wouldn't end up like herself. Halley was just so onto this that she yelled at Scarlett which was completly unessassary in my opinion. At the party Halley just kept taking beers and even took a bong hit. When Macon and Halley were about ready she began to get sick and she had to go out side. When she did get outside she became sick and Macon had to come get her and take her to the car. He was mad. I don't think that is right. He was driving really fast and threw a intersection when all of a sudden Macon's face became filled with light and all of a sudden there was impact on Halley's door.

Someone Like You- Chapter 13

Christmas was coming fast and Halley's mother was becoming a Christmas fanatic. By the 5th day of December they had everything out. That's kind of how it is in my house to. I like to decorate really early, but I hate taking things down. Along with Christmas, Scarlett was beginning to show alot more. The baby even began to start to kick. That helped Halley keep her mind off her deteriating relationship with Macon. I think that would help anyone get a little bit more happy. Halley and Macon kept arguing more and more and at the end Scarlett finally decided that she would have to sleep with him or lose him for good. She choose to sleep with him and she would do it on New Years.

Someone Like You-Chapter 12

Halley and her dad took off to see her Grandma for Thanksgiving. When they saw her she looked nothing like how she used to, being alot smaller. She also was very confused not knowing who Halley was at first. I hope to God my Grandma never gets that bad. I don't know how I would handle that. Thank God as of right now she knows who everyone is. Halley went searching in old boxes and found many things about her Grandma she never knew. She looked threw pictures read letters to find out who she was before. I think that'd be really cool, just to find out what someone was like.

Someone Like You- Chapter 11

With Halley's mom gone, Halley was free to really do whatever. Her dad was never home because he was always doing something that had to do with the radio station. I don't know if that would happen with me, my dad is more of the parent who really doesn't want me to stay out that late. With that freedom she spent her time with Macon. One day he came into the house because Halley's dad wasn't home. In that time Macon was kind of pressuring Halley to sleep with him, all Halley said was she'd think about it. Seems like a typical guy thing. Later Halley went to go say bye to Scarlett because she was leaving for Thanksgiving. When she went into the house she found Scarlett scrubbing the kitchen and the whole place smelling of clorox. Her nose was kicking in.

Someone Like You-Chapter 10

Scarlett and Halley went to Scarlett's 4 month check up to see how everything was going with the baby. Scarletts scared of doctors so Halley pretty much had to force her to talk. I can relate to that, going to the doctor is possibly the worst thing ever. After that they went to work and Halley's mother was there. When she checked out she told Halley they'd go out to eat, just the 2 of them, so they could talk. That's never a thing a child wants to hear! At dinner it started out good, but then she started saying stuff about how Macon was changing Halley and then she refused to let Halley see Macon anymore. This mad Halley incredibly mad, it would do the same to me. When they got home they found out that Halley's grandmother had fallen and she was laying there by herself for awhile. Halley's mom went on a flight to see her.

Someone Like You-Chapter 9

Halley sadly began losing her grandmother. She was getting more and more forgetful. She'd call in the middle of the night scared and panicky asking if everyone was ok. I can really relate to this. My grandma Freier has Alzheimers and she is forgetful. She's only in the early stages of it, she has been for a few years now, so she still remembers me. She just asks questions over and over again. Scarlett and Halley soon made a new friend in Cameron Newton. He was a new kid and everyone thought he was weird, because he was very quite. They soon had their minds changed because they found out he was really funny. Halley's mother was beginning to not like Macon at all, he would call late at night and drive crazy around their house. It all came out one night when Halley came home late from going to Macon's house. I'm so glad I don't have a strict curfew. It's hard to explain, I have one but then I dont.

Someone Like You-Chapter 8

It seemed like everything now involved the baby since it was clear she'd be having it. Scarlett was to the point where all she could eat was crackers and juice and everything else just made her want to vomit. That sounds terrible! I hate vomiting, it's possibly the worst thing ever. One day Elizabeth Grunderson came to Halley and asked if her and Macon were still together. When Halley said yes Elizabeth replied with a watch out because hes a terrible boyfriend. I hate girls like that. I just want to punch them! After that Halley got sick and ran to the bathroom. Halley fallowed and they talked about the pregnancy with out knowing that Ginny Tabor was in there. Of course by lunch everyone was looking at Scarlett weird. I don't know how I would react if a classmate got pregnant. Probably be very surprised! It's weird though because after Halley knew everyone knew she finally became hungry for everything.

Someone Like You-Chapter 7

On that Saturday it was Halley's birthday and Macon surprised Halley at the store by buying some stuff and holding up the line by talking to Halley. I wouldn't care what the others said, its my birthday the only day that is your own. That night they went to eat out with the Vaughns and Scarlett at Halley's favorite place. I really didn't do anything with my family last year, just went to a baseball game and then my friends threw me a surprise party. :) That was nice! After everything was done they went home and opened presents. After that Halley went to her room and later heard Macon come. She snuck out and Macon said he had to show her something. She figured since it was her birthday she'd live alittle and break the rules. I probably would do that anytime. There he took her to a place where after sitting for awhile she found out she was on a strip of cement above water a mile below. I'd be terrified. From there it was just her and Macon that night.

Someone Like You-Chapter 6

Halley's mom was furious, and made sure that she was punished for what she did. She had a month of being grounded and her phone time was restricted. I think that's alittle harsh for skipping school the only time in her life. She demanded to know who the guy was, but she wouldn't tell her and she was saved by Marion calling her and telling her to come over. She knew then that they were going to explain that Scarlett is pregnant and she just went to help her. When she came home everything was ok except that the punishment still stood and Halley's mom was telling Halley how big of a mistake this was. Also Halley's mom found out that Macon was they guy and that he and Halley were together.

Someone Like You- Pages 103-116

The abortion was going to happen that Friday of the week, Marion had everything planned out. As the day grew closer the quieter Scarlett became. On the day Halley's mom had to take Halley to school. It was a easy ride till the found Marion and Scarlett on the highway, then questions came out. After everyone Halley was getting even more upset. When they finally got to the school Macon came and told her not to make any plans the next day because it was her birthday and he was going to do something special. That is really cute! Scarlett soon called the school, pretending to be Halley's mom, and said there was a family emergency and she needed to be excused. She told Halley that she needed her to come get her and that she didn't have the abortion. I'm glad she didn't, its the only part of Michael thats still with her! She had Macon take her. They spent the whole day just hanging out. When she got home her mom was furious because she saw them driving on the highway at 10. My mom would freak!

Wednesday, March 16, 2011

Someone Like You- Pages 100-102

After Marion said she couldn't deal with the talk of Scarlett having a baby Scarlett had enough and stormed up to her room. With that Steve came at the door asking if Marion was ready. Of all the great timing that sure was bad. Marion went up to talk to Scarlett. I think if I was in the possision of telling my mom this I would like her to actually talk to me about it, not seem like she was forced. When Marion was up there she said that they'd go to the doctor so she could get a abortion done. It seemed to me that Scarlett really didn't want that.

Tuesday, March 15, 2011

Someone Like You- Pages 95-100

At work one day Scarlett randomly came to Halley and said, "Come to the bathroom now, I need you!" As soon as Halley had a chance she went in the bathroom and saw Scarlett holding what looked like a white stick. All of a sudden after that Scarlett blurted out she was pregnant. I couldn't believe it when I read it. It sure was a shocker. Then the hard part was still to come in telling Scarlett's mom. They did that night at the supper table. Then when she was going up the steps to get ready for her date Scarlett finally yelled out that they need to talk. When Scarlett kept saying it was bad and Halley started to cry Marion quickly got scared. Then Scarlett finally said that she was pregnant. Marion soon said that she couldn't deal with this now because of her date. I could never tell my mom and then to hear her say that she couldn't deal with it. Wow that would be terrible! I'd be so nervous!

Monday, March 14, 2011

Someone Like You- Pages 87-92

That next morning Halley was expected to mow the lawn. This lawn was known as a terrible lawn with many things that could almost kill you if you didn't know where they were. Halley was enthused at all to do this so she just went at it. I used to mow my grandparents lawn when they still lived in Delmont, but one day I saw I snake and that was the end of that. I'm terrified of snakes! Halley forgot about a hole in the ground and she fell head first. At that time Macon showed up with his mower and said he would help. Her parents had no idea who this guy was so they were alittle worried. Halley explained to her father that he was a friend and with that he knew he was something more.

Thursday, March 10, 2011

Someone Like You-Pages 77-86

Once Halley and Scarlett got into the house it was pretty much a full on search party for Macon. He was no where to be found downstairs or upstairs. On there way down the stairs something bad happened in the fact that someone broke a very treasured vase and spilled red wine all over Ginny Tabor's parents carpet. I would have freaked! I would probably be grounded for the rest of forever. After all that happened people decided it was time to go. Halley and Scarlett just went home and sat outside talking while Halley tried to convince herself that it was no big deal that Macon blew her off. It's not as easy as it sounds that's for sure! All of a sudden Halley saw someone creep onto her front yard and start throwing stones at her window while yelling her name. Sure enough it was Macon. She went over and tapped his shoulder scaring him half to death. Macon asked why he stood her up and then Halley said back that he blew him off. Once they finally got it figured out they didn't see each other, Halley's dad came out to see what caused the comotion. I'd be sooo embarrassed! Halley made up a lie. Once he went back in Halley and Macon started kissing till a car came up and Macon had to go.

Tuesday, March 8, 2011

Someone Like You- Pages 75-76

Halley makes Scarlett come to the party even though she's sick and would much rather stay home. I would probably do the same. I hate going places by myself, I just feel dumb. At the party the first person they see is Ginny Tabor. They really can't stand her, and I see why. For her to freak out like she did after Michael's funeral just because they dated for a week. That just seems kind of stalkerish to me.

Monday, March 7, 2011

Someone Like You-Pages 70-74

Marion, Scarletts mother, was going out with a guy with the name of Steve. This may not have been that big of a deal, but this was one of the many boyfriends Scarlett had to see her mom go out with. I would hate that, you really start to like someone your mom is dating and then they're finally out of your life. It's like you're going threw a break up just like your mom. The funny thing about this guy is his hobbie. He likes to pretend he's in medevil times where they joust and do stuff like that. I would never in my life do that! It really didn't matter to Halley because that night is when she was going to meet up with Macon at the party. You could say she was excited, but really why wouldn't she be.

Thursday, March 3, 2011

Someone Like You-pages 67-70

Well it finally happened, Macon asked Halley out on a Friday. It started off casual him asking her what she was doing this weekend, then it happened. He said if she had nothing to do to come to a party he's going to. She was so excited, it took everything she could to stall calm. Halley even memorized the time. I honestly think that's just a bit weird, but it's whatever I guess.

Wednesday, March 2, 2011

Someone Like You- Pages 63-66

In September Halley's father's radio show had become the "it" station. Sound's like 104.7 or 100.5 for us.  It wasn't bad till one day he told a story about when Halley was 5 years old and she was running and slipped on a huge mud puddle. She was so embarresed, everyone in school even Macon was making jokes. I would never in my life forgive my father for that. He wouldn't be the one to even do it, that would be my mom. She's done some embarressing things, but I even think that'd be a streach for her. As things went on Halley kept feeling like her parents didn't fit in her life right now, like they were just there.

Tuesday, March 1, 2011

Someone Like You-Pages 60-63

After awhile PE became Halley's favorite part of each day. This was because of Macon. She was definitely falling for this guy, but who could blame her, he even sounded hot by just reading about him. This could be because I know I guy by the name of Macon and he's really hot. Haha what can ya do I guess! They would have conversations and Halley would run to tell Scarlett, but she could tell Scarlett was still really in love with Michael and that hearing these stories really hurt because that's how it started for them to. That would really suck. Like you'd have to watch what you say because just one thing could trigger it and make her upset.

Monday, February 28, 2011

Someone Like You- Pages 56-60

After Macon left Halley felt like she was a different person, she was giddy and it felt like her stomach was doing flips. I guess that's what love will do. She was soon called into the councelors office where everything was taken care of so she wouldn't have to take band. I don't blame her, band sucks. When I tried band I went threw maybe 5 instruments. It just wasn't for me. After all that was taken care of she met with Scarlett in the halls to explain everything that happened with Macon. He soon came to walk with her to P.E since they had it together. Scarlett knew right there that something was going to happen.

Friday, February 25, 2011

Someone Like You-Pages 48-55

Halley and Scarlett finally decide that they need to get in over with and head into school. Oh my, that was possibly the hardest thing ever this year. I was so unbelievably scared it wasn't even funny. Halley and Scarlett were seperated and were sent to their homerooms were they got their schedules for the semester. When Halley got hers she looked at it and it was all wrong. She had to go to the councelors office to get everything fixed. When she got in the office she noticed how packed it was and there was a very angry receptionist. It's definatly not like that at all here. While waiting Macon, the guy who was in Scarletts bed the night before the funeral, was in there. He kept thinking she was in alot of trouble so he gave her ways to get out of lots of trouble. Halley was in heaven at this time!

Thursday, February 24, 2011

Someone Like You- Page 46

Scarlett and Halley went to the first day parked and they just sat there. Scarlett said she didn't want to go to school with everything that happened with Michael. Halley tried to explain that it'd be ok. The girls who cried over him at the funeral would have moved on by now cause they really didn't care.

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

Someone Like You- Pages 41-45

Scarlett and Halley met Michael at the store that all three of them worked at. It wasn't long till you could tell he had a attraction to Scarlett. He would buy kiwis everyday for lunch and even though Halley's line was clear he'd go to Scarlett's no matter how many people were there. One day Scarlett said to Michael that he must really like the fruits and he gave her one. With this Scarlett says he traded a kiwi for her heart. The rest of the summer was filled with Michael and that meant that the weren't attached to the hip like usual. That'd be weird for you to always be together and than all of a sudden you don't hang every minute of every day. I guess that's why you should always have more than one friend.

Friday, February 18, 2011

Someone Like You- Pages 34-40

Halley and Scarlett went to the funeral only to find girls crying their eyes out. This would be weird for me if I was Scarlett. To have other girls so devasted over your boyfriend. I would really think the other girls were dumb! When the funeral was done it starting pouring rain so everyone hurried to their. On Halley and Scarletts way home they found Macon walking home soaked from the rain. They asked if he wanted to a ride, but he just said no. It was very visable that he was crying. I couldn't imagine losing one of my best friends. Thinking about it now, I don't know if I could make it threw if something would ever happen to any one of them!

Someone Like You-Page 33

Once Macon was fully awake he decided it was time to leave. Once he left Halley had alot of questions for Scarlett. In response she said that he was really upset and needed a friend. I can understand that, and it's not like she slept in the same room as him, she slept on the couch in the living room.

Someone Like You-pg 31-32

Halley was over at Scarletts house deciding on what to wear. They stayed down stairs tell Marion, Scarletts mom left for work. When they went upstairs Scarlett went into Marions closet to see if there was anything she could wear. I would never do that, it's just not right! When Scarlett was in the closet Halley felt something uncomfortable in her back and she tried to pull in away to that she found it was a guy. Macon Faulkner to be exact. Wow that'd sure catch me off guard!

Dreamland-Chapters 13-15

Since what happened at the party Caitlin was put in therapy for Rogerson and they also found her drugs in her coat. When she went to see her counselor she ate about a bag full of jolly ranchers. She missed Rogerson alot. I don't see how you could miss someone who did that to you, but I guess it would probably be different if it was actually happening to me. Caitlin was there for awhile she had many visitors who alternated visits. Boo brought her all of her pictures, even one of Caitlin herself. She looked pale and sick and she ripped it up at first. But later she took all the peices and put them in a bag. She received to letters while she was there. One from Corina saying she was on her way to California and that she was sorry that she didn't say goodbye. The other one was from Cass who said that even though Caitlin probably didn't believe it she thought Caitlin was the strongest person she knew. Reading this it really surprised me, because in all of the story Caitlin kept explaining how much Cass was amazing and was looked at as the girl who could accomplish anything. When Caitlin was released out of therapy they had a welcome home party which everyone attended. There was one main visitor and that was Cass.

Dreamland-Chapter 12

We continue on with everyday getting worse and worse with Caitlin. All she's worried about is to do everything perfect so Rogerson won't hit her. She always has the day after that he's nice. WOW! I don't even know how I would react to that if it happened to me. Rina showed up to Caitlins house the day of a very important party to Caitlin’s mother. Rina said she was going to kidnap Caitlin and take her out to the lake, but promised to have her back by 6 for the party. Caitlin was very hesitant because she had plans with Rogerson but she had no idea what time. She knew if she left him waiting it might not end well. Her mother agreed and said she should wear a dress. It covered up most of the bruises, but not all of them so she wore a jacket. Her mom wanted her to take it off and that caused confrontation. On her way out Caitlin made Rina stop at Corinna’s house. When she got there all she found was Dave telling her that she left for California. From there it was to the lake. She was there for awhile, but soon she knew she had to leave or something bad would come. It ended up she walked a mile till Rina’s boyfriend came and gave her a ride. When she got to the house she saw all the cars, but only Rogerson’s mattered. When she saw it she was scared, because she knew he’d be very upset with her. I would be scared to death, it would be like just walking to your own funeral.  We she got to him he was beyond angry. He hit her repeatedly and he threw her to the grown. She told her to get up and then she wouldn’t. Soon her mom came running out to her yelling at Rogerson and telling Caitlin everything would be ok. Everyone at the party came out, and soon everyone heard sirens.

Dreamland-Chapter 11

Caitlin went to cheer practice one day not knowing it would be her last. Everyone there except Rina thought that Caitlin didn’t care at all anymore, so they asked. Her reply was frankly she doesn’t nor she never did. I don’t blame her, I would hate cheerleading with everything in me. One day Cass called and no one was home except for Caitlin. With Caitlin still not wanting to talk to her she just hung up. Caitlin went to Corinna’s house one day to find her and Dave going all out screaming at each other. She saw that everything wasn’t perfect for them like she used to think. Caitlin was in her room one day when her mother came up saying how worried she was about her. Caitlin worried at first thinking she knows that she gets beat, soon thinks this is good, her mother finally realizes she’s there. Her hopes are soon crushed when it turns out all she’s worried about is that she doesn’t wear colors. That would suck, for it to be that close to just think someone knows something’s going on and then it’s just torn away like that. I can’t even imagine.

Dreamland-Chapter 10

Many people now have started telling Caitlin to just wake up. She feels like she can't definetly now with Rogerson beating her. She wants to wake up from this nightmare, but she can't because it's her real life. After Christmas is when Caitlin decided it was time to make love to Rogerson. After that he still didn't stop beating her, and it seemed like if she did anything wrong she'd pay for it. One day Rina asked if they could hang out and Caitlin of course said no because she had to do something with Rogerson. She knew if she ditched him she'd definitly get hit, and hard. That's just sickening. How someone could do that. It became clear that Rina was worried about Caitlin. Caitlin reasured her, saying everything was fine. Even though she knew it was a lie.

Dreamland-Chapter 9

After the night of the banquet Caitlin was scared to death of that Rogerson. Cass started calling more and more which made her mother alot happier, but it seemed now all she worried about was whenever the phone rang if it was Cass or watching the tv show she worked at. Caitlin felt like she didn't even exsist in her mothers world. At the last photography class they had before Christmas they had to get a picture of someone. Caitlin choosed Rogerson, it was hard to get a picture though. She got one of him by surprise. In this picture he looked irritated. Caitlin's teacher told her that she is really amazing at catching what someone is like in a picture. And when he told her this he held her hands. Caitlin didn't think Rogerson saw this but when he asked her about it and she said it was nothing he freaked out again and hit her. When she walked in the house her mother freaked. Mine would to, I could just hear the constant questions. Caitlin lied and said she fell on some ice. The next morning Cass called, but Caitlin pretended she was sleeping when her mom came in. Instead she wrote in her dream journal.

Dreamland-Chapter 8

Caitlin  started her photography class with Boo and her mother, she soon found out that she was very good at it. She started spending more and more time with Corinna and that made her realize they had a lot in common. Corinna left her parents when she was young to live with Dave, something her parents who she still randomly sees places don’t approve of. Caitlin’s mother still misses Cass like crazy and that’s why her life revolved around when the show Cass worked on. She just wanted that slight glimpse of Cass. I get that, but I would feel terrible if I was Caitlin, seeing my mother only caring that my older sibling was gone and don’t paying me any attention. Caitlin’s cheerleading career wasn’t going all that good, she really didn’t care about it and the others could tell. One day Caitlin was suppose to meet Rogerson at her house, but she found Rina crying on the road, so she made Rina pull over even though she knew she’d be late for meeting Rogerson. She talked with her for awhile and when she finally got home Rogerson had left from waiting so long. At the banquet it was long and boring. Caitlin went home with Rogerson and he was asking her why she didn’t show up today and she explained that she had to be with Rina. It seemed he understood, but then he kept questioning her, and she replied with “don’t be such a baby.” With that he smacked her in the face, yelling at her. After that he went back to normal. That same night Cass called, but Caitlin didn’t want to talk because she knew Cass would know something happened.

Dreamland-Chapter7

After what happened to Rogerson from his father brought him and Caitlin closer together. From then on whenever Rogerson had to go and deliver drugs to some place Caitlin would ride along. Caitlin's friends didn't really understand what she saw in him. It soon turned out to be that she didn't care. She loved being with Rogerson. She felt like all she had to do was be herself, and she wasn't in anyones shadow. She was up front. She liked this! I would to, I'm in my brothers shadow alot I think in my moms mind. It's the other way around with my dad though. So it's kind of equally matched. On one of the trips Caitlin met Corinna and Dave. They were such nice people to her. Caitlin was amazed on how much of a genius Rogerson was, he honestly know everything.

Dreamland-Chapter6

It's funny how things work out sometimes. Caitlin had to help her mother with some senior citizen thing and there was Rogerson doing some of his community service. When she saw him she at first yelled at him for not calling, but when he kissed her all the anger went away. He asked her out that night and of course she said yes. Her mother wasn't that thrilled about it because of his reputation with things. When Rogerson picked her up he said he had to make some erounds. Those erounds were selling weed. Caitlin had a feeling, but she wasn't for sure that's why he had to do community service. When he was finally done he took her to his house for some party he had to be at with his parents. He was late and his father wasn't happy. When he confronted Rogerson Caitlin stayed in the bathroom. He wasn't nice to Rogerson at all and even slapped him across the face real hard. Caitlin went and comforted him when his father left.

A

Well one of the most important thing that makes my life amazing and starts with the letter "a" is America and all the people who help protect it. Its amazing how we can live freely because of the wonderful nation we are. One of my cousins i'm really close to is in the army so it really hits home when people talk about all the wonderful things the people who are in the service do.
One of my best friends names starts with an A and that's Allison Mora, ever since freshman year me and her really got close. She's one of the only friends I still have in Tripp, but I'm ok with that. She has always been there for me and I do the same for her. Me and her have some amazing memories that's for sure.
Apples are another thing that makes my life good. They're one of my favorite fruits, I hardly ever get tired of them.
I think everyone can agree that air conditioning makes our life amazing. I love the summer, but I don't think I could live without it during July and those really hot months.

Dreamland-Chapter 5

After the night Caitlin had with Rogerson she thought she would at least get a call from him, but this didn't happen. She was really bummed about this with the fact that she really felt a connection to him. I think this would bother anyone. You have a great time with someone and they don't call or do anything but leave you feeling you dreamt it all. A few days later Caitlin was watching a talk show where there was mostly yelling going on. In there she say Cass in the back with a head set on. She freaked out and her mother did the same when she saw it. They called the studio, and told the person to give her a message that her family loves and misses her so much.

Dreamland-Chapter 4

Soon with Caitlin making the cheer team things got to be very busy. It really helped her mother get over Cass's running away. As much as her mother loved that she was on the cheer squad Caitlin absolutely hated it. That definatly came there at one of the big games when they were doing this big reutine and when they got to the pyramid she heard some guy keep yelling "Cass" Caitlin didn't know if this was really happening. She then relized she was in the Dreamland Cass was talking about and then she fell backwards. She wasn't badly hurt and was could enough to go to a party with Rina. Before they went to the party they went to a car wash and that's where she met Rogerson. A boy that Caitlin just had a instant attraction to. That definetly came threw when she saw him again at the party and they left together. They made out for a half hour before she had to be home before curfew. When she got in she wrote everything down in the journal Cass gave her, knowing someday she'll read it.

Dreamland-Chapter 3

School soon began for Caitlin and they didn't hear from Cass since that night. Rina Caitlin's best friend convinced Caitlin to try out for cheerleading since it was something Cass never did. I would never get convinced to do cheerleading, it's just not for me at all. She made the squad! When she brought the uniform home and she finally told her mom that she made it her mom finally had a glimpse of happiness. Later that night she recalled the time when Boo told her she could do whatever she wanted as long as she put her mind to it, still to this day her own mother hasn't said that. During Labor Day Caitlin's family, Boo, and Stewart always have a get together. Even though it was thought of to not have it this year with Cass gone they still did.

Dreamland-Chap2

The next morning when Caitlin woke up she realized she didn't dream at all that night, but she wanted to still write in it see she wrote "Nothing last night. And you're still gone." Her parents were going crazy still, acting the same way they did the day before. She was outside and she saw her neighbors, Boo and Stewart eating breakfast. They called her over. While she was there Caitlin broke down into tears. She took awhile to break down, I brobably would have the moment I found out my sibling ran away. Later on that night Cass called. She didn't say anything at first, but her dad new it was her and he got her to talk. When asked to come home Cass said a stern no and said she was fine. Then she said goodbye.

Dreamland-Chapter 1

The day Caitlin turns 16, is not a day of happiness, it's a day full of fear because her older sister Cass ran away from home during the night and no one had no clue it was coming. All she left for her family to know she was ok was a short letter saying everything would work out and a birthday present for Caitlin. I couldn't imagine how it would be if my brother would have just randomly ran away. I would be scared, thats for sure. Caitlin got a journal where she was supposed to write down every dream she had. Cass was very big into dreams. The only thing Cass wrote was I'll see you there.
